TiAlSiN AlCrN are two representative coatings with excellent properties in TiN-based CrN-based applications, respectively. Three types nanocoatings—TiAlSiN monolayer, TiAlSiN/AlCrN multilayer—were prepared, microstructure, mechanical properties, oxidation resistance, diffusion alloy, cutting performance were investigated utilizing SEM, TEM, XRD, TGA, GD-OES, nanoindentation, scratching instruments. hardness, elastic modulus, adhesion multilayer between monolayer coatings, which meet “law mixtures”.
